Case Study #1:
Grotto
This client was starting a new business and their team would be sharing a facility with other companies’ employees. This posed network security concerns. They also needed their people to have 24/7 access to the space, but were worried about those employees’ safety.
We knew that their concerns equated to the need for a secured network infrastructure and video surveillance for a 24/7 multi-use tenant space.
Generally, this would require multiple vendors and contractors, plus a project manager, to provide all solutions and oversee installation. Not the case with Smart Technology Systems, though. We installed an on-premises, cloud-hosted video surveillance system, secure managed network via secured firewall and switches, a liaison for ISP…and created a seamless, tech-friendly conference space to be used by all Grotto team members.
Case Study #2
TechRev York
For security reasons, this client did not want to distribute keys for 24-hour access to their sizeable facility. They wanted more control over who could come and go. This was complicated by their need to unlock and lock doors for people who were renting the space for special events.
This challenge called for a secured network infrastructure, video surveillance for a 24/7 multiuse tenant space, and 24/7 managed facility access via key cards in a very old building without existing infrastructure.
Generally, this would require multiple contractors and vendors to provide a number of solutions, along with a project manager to ensure that all operations go smoothly and are completed on time and within budget. The need for multiple vendors was eliminated with the hiring of Smart Technology Solutions.
A seamless, tech-friendly conference space was created to be used by all members, along with three separate classroom areas with dedicated wired and wireless internet. Included is a cloud-hosted, on-premises video surveillance system, secure managed network via secured firewall and switches, and a liaison for ISP. Administrators now have cloud-hosted keycard access for 12 different doors, have the ability to schedule the unlocking and locking of doors at set times, and can add and delete entrants to the facility remotely.
Case Study #3
Jaguar Dealership
This car dealership was in a large, brand-new facility and needed a network, interior and exterior video surveillance, overhead music and paging, CATV for customer areas, and network communication among three separate buildings. Multiple internal and external people had been making decisions and suggestions, which caused significant confusion and eroded the business’ faith that the job would ever get done…or get done correctly.
We worked closely with the dealership’s onsite management, corporate IT personnel, and general contractor to deliver a complete, one-stop-shop solution to every challenge. Each involved group had unique needs and wishes, and we pulled them all together to provide answers that satisfied everyone’s concerns.
In most cases, a job of this scope would require a number of vendors and contractors, as well as manpower for project management. When Smart Technology Solutions took on the project, every need was met by one company. We worked closely with the customer to understand their needs, design solutions, and provide work areas for their employees.
In the end, they were provided with precisely what they needed: a secured network infrastructure with 300 network drops, overhead music, paging, fiberoptic network between buildings, exterior and interior surveillance, and CATV for customer areas.
